All the casters are bored already of Tahm Kench and hoping that these teams will rebench that Kench. While it was a really solid game, I’d agree, it does get boring to watch Tahm Kench prevent anything from happening. I mean, unless it’s Faker being saved, of course. Because, Faker.
First ban phase leaves Zoe open, so maybe someone will grab her up. Miss Fortune already picked for Southeast Asia, then China picks safe picks Sejuani and Gnar, and then we see Camile and Ryze for Southeast Asia and China locks in, instead of Zoe, Azir. Ah well, a safer, solid game from each team won’t be terrible, even if less interesting. China refuses to ban a champion, then opts to ban Rek’sai. Both Ezreal and Zoe are still open. The crowd even wants Ezreal! And finally China locks in Ezreal. And we get MF and Leona on SEA’s blue side vs Ezreal and Braum on CN’s red side. These feel like strange choices, since Ezreal is pretty over powered right now and even though Leona is, as always, a pretty solid pick, Ezreal is an adc that can easily escape from her, so another support might have been a more interesting choice.
Xiye is pushing Patrick under his tower, really using Azir to poke Ryze into oblivion. OH at about 4 minutes Patrick’s Ryze flashed with hardly any hp through and away from Azir’s soldiers and poked Azir back away from his tower instead of getting killed from Azir’s aggressive tower dive.
Wow about 6 minutes in, SEA Levi playing as Nidalee was sitting in the bush when CN Mlxg as Sejuani showed up, and with a mish mosh joining for the play, Nidalee, Ryze, and Leona all go down to Azir’s single death for China, though SEA’s Nidalee scored first blood. Mlxg managed to walk away close to death. A minute later, Southeast Asia’s bot lane double kills Uzi’s Ezreal and Meiko’s Braum. This game is pretty even again, in spite of that three for 1 play at mid lane.
Again, Uzi and Meiko get owned, with SEA’s Dantiz as Miss Fortune and SEA’s Kra as Leona just pulling out skillshot after skillshot to crush Uzi and Meiko who just do not seem to be on their best game. Uzi’s been missing his skillshots and failing to dodge Leona’s Zenith Blade (e) and ult very well.
SEA does not want to go down without a fight, and for every time SEA pulls out something good, CN does it too. Lots of action, lots of fights, and China is only a tiny bit behind in gold at about 13 minutes.
At 16 minutes, China is now up, SEA 6 to CN 12 and are leading in gold by quite a bit. SEA has 2 towers and CN only 1 still, but this is still really anyone’s game. It looks like really it’s coming down to whoever is strongest in the bot lane, which makes me lean towards a SEA victory at this point, even though China’s mid, top, and jungle games are a little bit more effective in their roles.
Ezreal has now built himself a Quicksilver Sash, to undo any of his failed dodges and try to bring himself back into this game as the strong adc he ought to be. China baron kill at 21 minutes, bringing down the rest of SEA minus Miss Fortune. Mlxg really playing strong here and Meiko working to make up for early lane’s less effectiveness.
Uzi’s Ezreal quadra kills with baron buff at 24 minutes and that nexus is going down. China wins! Next up, LMS vs Turkey!
